• WOmen's Garden Tour

    Women of the Rock trip to the Annual Maywood Garden Tour, Saturday, August 24, 2019, 10 a.m. - 2 p.m.

    While Maywood is a private property, and generally not open to the public, visitors are welcome to Maywood's Annual Garden Tour. The tour, a benefit for the National Garden Conservancy, welcomes the public.

    Admission: $10 (cash)


    Please note: the property is NOT handicap accessible.

    Sign up in the foyer! Indicate if you’re interested in carpooling. We’ll meet at the Gardens @ 10, then have lunch at Maggie McFly’s in Brookfield, CT. (lunch is optional; each pays for own meal)

    We're still collecting supplies for the Bridgeport Outreach! We need school supplies! Each week is a different supply!

    8/4 - Erasers (large pink)

    8/11 - Pens

    8/18 - Pocket Folders

    Our goal is 250 backpacks! Please help us by bringing several of each item to place in the box on Sunday morning!


    We will also be collecting new or gently used bicycles & furniture for this outreach. Please drop off bikes & furniture on Sunday, August 25th.

  • Women's Bible Study: The Rock, The Road, & The Rabbi

    A new women's Bible study meeting every Tuesday at Carol Boyd's home in Killingworth will be starting September 3rd at 10am

    We will be doing a 6-week DVD study by Kathie Lee Gifford with Rabbi Jason Sorel called The Rock, The Road, & The Rabbi.

  • Pray & Purl Luncheon

    Join us Saturday, September 21st from 12-2pm at the beautiful Tidewater Inn in Madison!

    Anyone who knits or crochets is welcome to join! Don't know how? Come anyways, we'll be happy to teach you!

    We are knitting and/or crocheting:

    - 7”x9” rectangles for a blanket which will be given to the Abused Women's shelter in Middletown.

    - Prayer shawls for patients in Middlesex Hospital & Aaron Manor

    - Newborn hats to give to new Moms also in Middlesex Hospital.

    - Hats for all ages are also being made and given to Shoreline Soup Kitchen patrons.

    Yarn and directions are available for these projects.

  • Men's Bible study

    The Men's Bible study meets Monday nights from 6:30-8pm in the youth room.

    Please join us for fellowship, prayer and scripture study.

    We are studying the visions after the seventh trumpet and preceding the River of Water of Life and the Tree of Life.

    We are going to be jumping into a study on “The Judgment seat of Christ.”
