Encounter: Worship Night
Join us for a powerful evening of worship on Friday, March 28 at 7 PM, led by our youth and young adults! While the worship team will be made up of the next generation, this event is open to the entire congregation.
Our theme for the night is “Desperate for the Spirit of God”—a time to seek His presence, encounter His power, and unite as the Church in worship and prayer. We are expecting God to move in incredible ways as we lift our voices together.
The evening will include worship, a short message, and breakout prayer, giving us the opportunity to truly engage with God and one another as the Church was meant to. Come with expectant hearts and a desire to experience the presence of God in a fresh and powerful way.
We can’t wait to worship with you!

Water Baptism Sunday
Join us on Sunday, March 30th right after our Sunday service for Water Baptisms! If you’ve never been baptized and are interested in being baptized please fill out the form on our website here and we’ll be in touch!
Water baptism is a way for believers to outwardly express what God has done in their hearts and lives in the presence of other believers. When you are baptized in water, you are identifying yourself with Jesus. If you have been baptized we invite you to stay after service as our brothers and sisters take this step of faith and to celebrate this significant decision!

Pray & Purl
Join us for an inspiring afternoon after of knitting, crocheting, and prayer at our upcoming Pray & Purl event! This is a unique opportunity to come together with other crafters and create something beautiful while deepening your faith.
During this event, we will provide materials and guidance for knitting and crocheting projects for all skill levels. We will also have a time of worship and prayer, where we can lift up our requests and praises to God together.
This is a wonderful chance to connect with other crafters in our church and share in our love of creating. Plus, it's a great opportunity to find peace and relaxation in the midst of our busy lives. Bring a bag lunch!

Shoreline Church: Arise Prayer & Worship Night
We are excited to share that Shoreline Church Old Lyme will be hosting The Arise Prayer & Worship evening on Friday night, April 11th! This special gathering is designed to foster unity among all Christian denominations, coming together solely for a time of heartfelt prayer and worship. There are no agendas—just our collective focus on glorifying Christ and celebrating our shared faith.

Palm Sunday
Join us on Palm Sunday as we commemorate the triumphal entry of Jesus into Jerusalem, marking the beginning of Holy Week. Together, we’ll reflect on the fulfillment of prophecy and the deep significance of Jesus’ journey to the cross. Palm branches waving, hearts lifted in worship, we’ll celebrate the One who came to save us. Through His sacrifice, we are redeemed, and through His resurrection, we have victory. Let’s enter Holy Week with reverence and joy as we prepare our hearts for the events that changed the world forever.

Fellowship in the Foyer: Coffee + Donuts
Join us after our Palm Sunday service on April 13th for Fellowship in the Foyer! Stay after service to enjoy coffee, donuts, and great conversation as we gather together to connect and build community.
This is a wonderful opportunity to slow down, catch up with friends, and meet new faces as we begin Holy Week together. Whether you’re a longtime member or visiting for the first time, we’d love for you to stay and share in this time of fellowship. See you there!

Good Friday Service
On Good Friday, we gather to remember the profound love of Jesus displayed on the cross. This solemn service calls us to reflect on the ultimate sacrifice He made for our sins and the price of our redemption. As we consider the weight of His suffering and the depth of His love, we are reminded that the story doesn’t end in darkness. Through His sacrifice, we are redeemed. Join us in this meaningful time of worship and reflection as we honor the greatest act of love in history.
Service is on Friday, April 18th at 7pm, service is in-person only.

Easter Egg Hunt
Hop on over for an exciting Easter egg hunt on Saturday, April 19th at noon! Bring your friends and family and come ready to search for eggs filled with treats and surprises. We'll have games, crafts, and lots of fun activities for everyone to enjoy.
This is a great opportunity for your kids to connect with other children and learn about the true meaning of Easter! Free for all kids ages 2 to 6th grade!

Resurrection Sunday Service
He is risen! On Easter Sunday, we come together to celebrate the victory of Jesus over sin and death. The resurrection is the cornerstone of our faith and the source of our hope. Because He lives, we have the promise of new life and eternal victory. This joyful service will be filled with worship, powerful teaching, and a celebration of the truth that through His resurrection, we have victory. Come and experience the joy and hope of Easter with us as we proclaim, “He is risen indeed!
Service is on Sunday, April 20th at 10am, attend service in-person and via livestream!

National Day of Prayer
Join us on Thursday, May 1st, at 6:30 PM under the pavilion for a special gathering as we observe the National Day of Prayer. This is a time set aside each year for believers across the country to come together in unified prayer for our nation, leaders, communities, and churches.
We invite everyone—individuals, families, and friends—to join us as we seek God’s guidance, peace, and blessings over our nation. Together, we will lift our voices in prayer for our government, military, first responders, schools, churches, and all who are in need of hope and encouragement.
This is an outdoor event, so bring a chair or blanket as we gather in faith and unity. No matter where you are in your faith journey, you are welcome to join us in this powerful time of prayer and reflection. Let’s stand together and intercede for our country, believing that God hears and answers our prayers!

Bloom & Brew: Ladies' Tea
Ladies, you’re invited to a delightful Afternoon Tea on Saturday, May 3rd, from 1:30–3:30 PM! This special gathering is open to women of all ages, so bring your daughters, granddaughters, or a friend and join us for an afternoon of fellowship, encouragement, and, of course, tea and treats!

Engage: Parent Meeting
We value your input as we continue to grow and strengthen Engage Youth Ministry, and we’d love to hear from you! Jason, Wendy, and Angie will be hosting a Parent Feedback Meeting on Sunday, March 23, immediately following the service in the youth room.
This is a great opportunity to share your thoughts, ask questions, and discuss ways we can better support and encourage our youth. Your perspective is important, and we appreciate your partnership in shaping a ministry that helps our students grow in their faith.

Bible Study: The Book of John
Dive deeper into God’s Word with our men’s and women’s Bible study on the Book of John! Beginning Friday, March 7, we’ll meet every Friday at 6:00 PM as we walk through this powerful Gospel—one chapter at a time. This is a great opportunity to grow in faith, connect with others, and reflect on the life and teachings of Jesus. We look forward to studying with you!

Soul Care: Zoom Class
Please join us on a journey to emotional healing called Soul Care - Wednesday nights at 6:30pm on Zoom - starting on February 19th! During this class, we will be exploring seven principles that can lead to a lasting transformation and freedom for anyone who struggles with a broken, damaged, and sin stained soul and are ready to bring these to Jesus Christ. It’s a process of getting unstuck by clearing out old hurts, sins, bitterness, and secrets in order to make room for joy, peace, freedom, and fullness in Christ.
This class will take place begin on Wednesday, February 19 th from 6:30-8pm. This class will run for eight consecutive weeks. and will take place virtually on zoom.
We will be using the book entitled Soul Care written by Pastor and Author Rob Reimer. This book is available for purchase on Amazon and Christian Books.com as well.

Ladies' Luncheon
Ladies, mark your calendars for a special afternoon of fellowship, encouragement, and delicious food! On Saturday, February 8th, from 12 to 2pm, the Women’s Ministry will be hosting a luncheon potluck—a wonderful opportunity to connect, share, and grow together as sisters in Christ.
Nicole and Aimee will be providing a selection of sandwiches to get us started, but we would love your help in filling out the meal with sides, salads, soups, or desserts. This is a true potluck-style event, so please sign up to bring a dish to share.
We are also thrilled to announce that Morley will be joining us to share an inspiring message about God’s unwavering love for us. Her heartfelt words are sure to encourage and uplift us as we gather together.

Women of the Rock: Christmas Party
Ladies, get ready for a night of festive fun and laughter at our Women’s Ministry Christmas Party on Friday, December 13th, from 6-8pm!
Come decked out in your best (or worst!) ugly Christmas sweater and enjoy an evening filled with games, fellowship, and holiday cheer. This year’s party is a potluck, so bring along your favorite appetizer or dessert to share—we’ll have sign-ups available to help coordinate.

PJs & Pancakes
Kids, come dressed in your coziest pj’s and be prepared to eat some delicious pancakes and have some Christmas fun! This is a Community Outreach event! Invite your friends, neighbors, and family!
The fun is all happening on Saturday, December 7th from 11am to 2pm and drop-off time starts at 10:45am.
Pre-pregistration is required - this event is free for all kids ages 3 to 6th grade. Please RSVP by Wednesday, December 4th.

Lunch Club: Love Justice
Looking for an inspiring way to spend your Sunday after service? Our Lunch Club with Pastor Ryan is the perfect opportunity! Sundays, right after our service at 12 pm, bring your own lunch and gather as we dive into enlightening talks from speakers of local ministries.
Following the speaker's insightful session, we engage in open discussions based on the shared topics. It's a wonderful chance to connect, learn, and grow as we explore meaningful insights together. Don't miss out on this monthly gathering for food, fellowship, and spiritual inspiration!
For our next lunch on November 10th, our guest speaker will be Cecilia Deschenes, a data analyst with Love Justice. Love Justice’s mission is to share the love of Jesus Christ by fighting the world’s greatest injustices.

Family Dinner
Bring the whole family and join us on November 9th from 3-5 PM for a fun and relaxed Family Dinner! This is for all Children’s Church families with kids in grade 6 and under, as well as our awesome volunteers and their families. This will be an afternoon of fun, fellowship, and food, where we can celebrate the season and connect with one another.
We’ll provide the main course—just bring a side dish to share if you’re able. It’s a great way to hang out, connect, and enjoy a meal together. We can't wait to see you there!

Please join us in prayer that God's will be done this Election. Join us on Monday, Nov. 4, Tuesday at 11pm to Tuesday, Nov. 5 at 11pm (until the polls close on the West coast).

Fall Work Day
Join us for a church work day! We're calling on all members of our congregation to come together and help clean up the inside of the building and spruce up the church property.
This is a great opportunity to connect with your fellow church members and give back to the LRC community. We'll provide the cleaning supplies and tools needed for the tasks, but please bring your own gardening gloves if you plan on working outside.
We'll be providing coffee and donuts for all volunteers! Please sign up ahead of time so we can have an accurate head count for the food.

Isaiah 61 Informational Meeting
On Sunday, October 13, immediately following service in the community room, Isaiah 61 will offer a brief Q&A session about how this ministry functions as well as an overview of what a session entails.
This information is not for how to serve in this ministry, this session is about what being ministered over might look like should you choose to set up an appointment at some point in the future.

Divine Designs
Create up to 6 inspirational displays adhering handmade papers, scripture cards and natural elements to a 6x6 canvas and watercolor images.
All art supplies and display easels are included.

Nights of Prayer (Zoom)
Our Nights of Prayer are weekly! These are nights of encouragement on Wednesdays at 7pm and Saturdays at 6:30pm for those who continue to suffer, a night of prayer for healing, a night to strengthen our faith! Everyone is invited to join us - this is a time for us to stand together and encourage one another in prayer!

Yarn Drive
We are collecting donations of yarn for our Pray & Purl group. Medium weight 100% acrylic yard. Red Heart brand or similar. Any colors; if you choose a variegated color, please also provide a matching solid color.
Pray & Purl knits and crochets items that are donated to the homeless, local shelters and health care facilities.
