First Principles (In-Person)
Interested in becoming a member of Living Rock? Want to learn more about the history and vision of the church? Join us in-person on Sunday mornings at 9am or via Zoom on Wednesday nights at 7pm for a 7-week class. Please indicate which class format and time you are interested in attending. Childcare is available for the Sunday morning class, please let the office know if you will need this.

This special evening will be filled with beautiful candlelight, carols, and a message that centers our hearts on the true reason for the season—Jesus, the Light of the World. Gather with us as we reflect, rejoice, and celebrate the hope and love that Christ brings. Invite your family and friends to experience this meaningful holiday tradition!
Senior Luncheon
Join us for a Slightly Seasoned luncheon celebrating the Christmas season! Bring a side dish to pass (please list what dish in the sign-up comments), it's going to be a great afternoon of food and fellowship! This is a great chance to connect with new friends and catch up with old ones. We are doing a gift game - bring a small grab bag gift to play with. It should be wrapped or in a bag and no more than $10
Our gatherings are filled with warmth, laughter, and good conversation. We believe that a shared meal is one of the most wonderful ways to build community and strengthen relationships, and we can't wait to welcome you to our table.

Christmas Party
Join us after service on Sunday, December 15, for our Christmas Party! It's a time to come together as a church family, celebrate the joy of the season, and share some festive treats.
We'll have finger sandwiches and hot cocoa ready for everyone, and we’d love for you to bring a batch of your favorite Christmas cookies to share! Let’s fill the room with the warmth of community, the deliciousness of homemade cookies, and the joy of the holiday season.

Pray & Purl: Christmas Potluck
The Pray and Purl ministry is hosting a special Christmas Party Potluck on December 14th at 12 PM, and you’re invited! While this ministry usually meets to knit and crochet blankets and afghans for those in need, this gathering is all about celebrating the joy of the season together. It’s a time to connect, laugh, and enjoy good food with one another.

Women of the Rock: Christmas Party
Ladies, get ready for a night of festive fun and laughter at our Women’s Ministry Christmas Party on Friday, December 13th, from 6-8pm!
Come decked out in your best (or worst!) ugly Christmas sweater and enjoy an evening filled with games, fellowship, and holiday cheer. This year’s party is a potluck, so bring along your favorite appetizer or dessert to share—we’ll have sign-ups available to help coordinate.
Need a ride? No problem! If you don’t drive at night, let us know, and we’ll arrange transportation for you.

PJs & Pancakes
Kids, come dressed in your coziest pj’s and be prepared to eat some delicious pancakes and have some Christmas fun! This is a Community Outreach event! Invite your friends, neighbors, and family!
The fun is all happening on Saturday, December 7th from 11am to 2pm and drop-off time starts at 10:45am.
Pre-pregistration is required - this event is free for all kids ages 3 to 6th grade. Please RSVP by Wednesday, December 4th.
Welcome Wagon
Join us for a relaxed and casual time of delicious snacks, refreshing drinks, and an opportunity to meet and chat with our Pastor. Bring your questions and enjoy a friendly, open discussion over coffee and sweet treats. (Coffee and snacks will be served in the Hospitality Room after service.)

Ladies' Breakfast
You're invited to our Women’s Breakfast on November 16 at 9 AM! This is a special time set aside to bless the women in our church with a warm meal, uplifting worship, and a morning of fellowship. No need to bring anything—just come ready to be encouraged and refreshed. Lori Phillips will be sharing an inspiring message, and we’ll also hear powerful testimonies from women in our community.

Lunch Club: Love Justice
Looking for an inspiring way to spend your Sunday after service? Our Lunch Club with Pastor Ryan is the perfect opportunity! Sundays, right after our service at 12 pm, bring your own lunch and gather as we dive into enlightening talks from speakers of local ministries.
Following the speaker's insightful session, we engage in open discussions based on the shared topics. It's a wonderful chance to connect, learn, and grow as we explore meaningful insights together. Don't miss out on this monthly gathering for food, fellowship, and spiritual inspiration!
For our next lunch on November 10th, our guest speaker will be Cecilia Deschenes, a data analyst with Love Justice. Love Justice’s mission is to share the love of Jesus Christ by fighting the world’s greatest injustices.
Family Dinner
Bring the whole family and join us on November 9th from 3-5 PM for a fun and relaxed Family Dinner! This is for all Children’s Church families with kids in grade 6 and under, as well as our awesome volunteers and their families. This will be an afternoon of fun, fellowship, and food, where we can celebrate the season and connect with one another.
We’ll provide the main course—just bring a side dish to share if you’re able. It’s a great way to hang out, connect, and enjoy a meal together. We can't wait to see you there!
Men's Breakfast

Prayer for the Election
Please join us in prayer that God's will be done this Election. Join us on Monday, Nov. 4, Tuesday at 11pm to Tuesday, Nov. 5 at 11pm (until the polls close on the West coast).
Sign up for a one-hour time slot to pray; prayer suggestions will be provided. Sign up in the foyer on Sunday, or by emailing Barb Lanoue or Liz Marshall.
Fall Work Day
Join us for a church work day! We're calling on all members of our congregation to come together and help clean up the inside of the building and spruce up the church property.
This is a great opportunity to connect with your fellow church members and give back to the LRC community. We'll provide the cleaning supplies and tools needed for the tasks, but please bring your own gardening gloves if you plan on working outside.
We'll be providing coffee and donuts for all volunteers! Please sign up ahead of time so we can have an accurate head count for the food.
Community Prayer
Sunday, October 20th at 5pm at Parmalee Farms! Bring a lawn chair, and come for a time of community prayer and worship!

Isaiah 61 Informational Meeting
On Sunday, October 13, immediately following service in the community room, Isaiah 61 will offer a brief Q&A session about how this ministry functions as well as an overview of what a session entails.
This information is not for how to serve in this ministry, this session is about what being ministered over might look like should you choose to set up an appointment at some point in the future.
Divine Designs
Create up to 6 inspirational displays adhering handmade papers, scripture cards and natural elements to a 6x6 canvas and watercolor images.
All art supplies and display easels are included.

New Book Study
Carol Boyd is starting a new bible study Monday, September 30th : John Macarthur's 12 session study of Galatians entitled "The Wondrous Grace of God". John Macarthur is pastor/teacher of Grace Community Church in Sun Valley, California.
The group meets the 2nd and 4th Mondays of each month from 10 AM to noon at Sun Communities' Club house in Killingworth. They gather first to share, and pray together over coffee followed by an hour of discussing our bible lesson. All ladies welcome!

Night of Prayer
Join us for a powerful in-person Night of Prayer as our entire church community comes together to seek God’s presence and intercede for our church, our nation, and the world. In these challenging and ever-changing times, there is no greater response than to turn to God in prayer for guidance, healing, and unity.
During this special evening, we’ll focus our prayers on several key areas:
Our Church: We’ll pray for strength, wisdom, and unity among our church leaders, ministries, and every member of our community. We’ll ask God to bless our efforts and continue to grow us in faith, love, and service to others.
Our Nation: We’ll lift up our nation in prayer, asking for wisdom and discernment for our leaders, peace across our country, and healing for the divisions that separate us. We’ll pray for a renewed sense of faith and godly values within our society.
Personal Requests: There will also be time for individuals to share personal prayer requests. Whether you're facing challenges, seeking direction, or simply need encouragement, we’ll come together as a church family to support one another and bring our needs before God.
This will be a time of heartfelt worship, prayer, and encouragement as we join together in faith. Whether you’ve been a part of our previous prayer gatherings or this is your first time, we invite you to join us for this special evening. We believe that God hears and responds when His people pray, and we look forward to seeking Him together.
Ladies' Zoom Study
Join us for a new zoom study! The ladies will be studying "Soul Detox" by Craig Groeschel, starting Monday, Sept. 16 @ 6:30 pm. You can get your book wherever you like; please read the intro and chapter 1 prior to the meeting.
New Women's Study
Join us for our upcoming women’s Bible study series, "Good Boundaries and Goodbyes: Loving Others Without Losing the Best of Who You Are" by Lysa Terkeurst. This study will help you learn to set healthy boundaries while maintaining loving relationships.

Zoom Prayer
Join us for a powerful evening of prayer as our entire church community comes together virtually to lift our hearts and voices in unity. This church-wide event is dedicated to praying for our church, our nation, and the world around us.
In these times of uncertainty and change, there is no greater response than to seek God's guidance, protection, and healing. During our Zoom Night of Prayer, we'll focus on several key areas:
Our Church: We'll pray for strength, unity, and guidance for our leaders, ministries, and every member of our church family. We'll ask God to continue to bless and grow our community in faith and love.

Guest Speaker: Karol Joseph
Join us on Sunday, August 18th at 10am for special guest speaker Karol Joseph!
Karol was raised in a Conservative Jewish home in the suburbs of Boston. After becoming a believer in Jesus in 1988, she got involved with the local branch as a volunteer until joining the staff full-time in 1990. Since completing her own missionary training in NYC, Karol has served as a missionary in Boston and LA, and led our branch in Toronto, Canada; she returned to NYC in 1998 to head up our New Missionary Training program and serve on the branch leadership team. Karol was one of the leaders of our 2018 BYG campaign in Jerusalem, and now resides in South Florida.
Karol earned master’s degree in Missiology with emphasis on Jewish studies from the Fuller School of World Missions in Pasadena, CA in 1998.

Prayer for our Nation + the World
Our Bible is full of stories of how God dealt with nations of the world. God ultimately has way with the nations. Ninevah avoided a national crisis because they heard the prophetic voice of Jonah Jerusalem was overthrown because its King and citizens would not heed the cries and warnings of Isaiah and Jeremiah.
Babylon became the place of Exile for Israel. In Babylon she repented for her idolatry and longed for the days of righteousness and peace through obedience. Beginning this Wednesday, September 11th from now until November 6th Pastor Ryan is asking you to join him in fasting and prayer for the nation and world.

We are collecting donations of yarn for our Pray & Purl group. Medium weight 100% acrylic yard. Red Heart brand or similar. Any colors; if you choose a variegated color, please also provide a matching solid color.
Pray & Purl knits and crochets items that are donated to the homeless, local shelters and health care facilities.
