What do we mean by Justice?

Reaching out to the poor, the vulnerable and the oppressed.

Helping those in need in our Community.

Providing a way for us as individuals to peacefully transform our world.

Social Justice

“You are the salt of the earth; but if the salt has become tasteless, how can it be made salty again? It is no longer good for anything, except to be thrown out and trampled under foot by men.

“You are the light of the world. A city set on a hill cannot be hidden; nor does anyone light a lamp and put it under a basket, but on the lampstand, and it gives light to all who are in the house. Let your light shine before men in such a way that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father who is in heaven.

Matthew 5:13-16

We support various local organizations to help those in need in our Community. We encourage people to seek out our Community Partners if they have need of their services, and to volunteer their time.

  • malta ministries, groton/
    new london

Every 4th (and 5th) Friday, we partner with Malta in their street ministry, meeting the homeless and needy on the streets of Groton, New London, and Norwich. Along with food and clothing, we try to meet the fourth basic human need which is common to all people - the need for love. We believe that the only love that is ever-true is the love of Jesus. It is His love that compels us (2 Corinthians 5:14-15) and it is His love that we bring out on the street to hurting people.
